Prof. Dr. Hassan Siegfried Abou-Rebyeh graduated in 1986 from the medical college at the Free University of Berlin, Germany. Thereafter, he achieved the Doctorate Degree at the Institute of Infection and Microbiology of the Free University of Berlin, Germany. He also graduated from the Centre of Evidence-Based Health Care at Oxford University in the United Kingdom with a Master of Science in Evidence-Based Health care and he is also a student at Cambridge University in England studying Executive MBA.

He worked for 20 years at the Charite University of Berlin in the fields of biochemistry and molecular biology, internal medicine, gastroenterology and hepatology as well as endoscopy. He achieved the German board degree for Gastroenterology and Hepatology as well as received the German board degree for Internal Medicine in 2000 and 2003. Since then, he was working as a consultant at Charite University of Berlin and followed by other hospitals.

In 2007, Prof. Hassan Abou-Rebyeh was appointed as Head of the Endoscopy Unit at Marin-Luther-Krankenhaus in Berlin in Germany. In 2009, he joined Al Ain Hospital in UAE, which was under the management of Vienna University from Austria, as Head of Dept. Gastroenterology and Hepatology. In 2013, he joined Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi, UAE. In 2015, Prof. Dr. Hassan Abou-Rebyeh joined NMC Healthcare and was appointed in NMC Royal Hospital as Head of Dept. Gastroenterology and Hepatology. In addition to his broad knowledge spectrum, he is highly specialized and experienced in many different procedures such as advanced interventional endoscopy, gastrointestinal imaging techniques and functional GI tests.

Prof. Hassan Abou-Rebyeh had a very active scientific career. His research efforts resulted in 34 peer-reviewed publications in international journals and medical textbooks. In addition, he contributed several hundred abstracts and presentations to medical congresses and meetings.

In addition, he was a highly appreciated academic lecturer in the fields of biochemistry, internal medicine and gastroenterology at various institutes in Charite University of Berlin in Germany as well as in the UAE University of Al Al Ain in UAE. He was appointed in 2005 at the Charite University Berlin in Germany as an Associate Professor. After he moved to the UAE, he was also appointed as an associate professor in 2009 at the UAE University of Al Ain in UAE.
