Latifa Hospital is one of the five government hospitals under Dubai Health Authority. It was inaugurated in 1986 to be the first specialized hospital for maternity and pediatric services in UAE. Latifa Hospital services as a referral hospital due to its highly sophisticated and well equipped Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Fetomaternal services and the Pediatric Surgery. It is the first government hospital in Dubai to be accredited by Joint Commission International; it has 343 beds which are distributed across the following services: Genecology, Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Paediatric Surgery and Neonatology. The total number of healthcare providers and ancillary employees running the hospital is approximately 1300. Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit was awarded with the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for an outstanding clinical department in the public sector in the UAE in 2012. Latifa Hospital has also been recently Accredited by American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) and recognized as Centre of Excellence for Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery.
