Dr Kais obtained Diploma of Specialist Doctor in Cardiovascular Disease from Faculty of Medicine of Tunis. He is also graduated as an Interventional Cardiologist from the University of Paris Descartes and the University of Besancon, France. His Interventional Cardiology fellowship was performed in the University Hospital Jean Minjoz, France. He gained extensive experience in advanced interventional cardiology. During his tenure, he has got training in complex angioplasty, endovascular treatment of valvular heart disease including transcatheter aortic valve intervention, and closure of congenital defects. In 2010, he obtained a Certificate of Achievement of Edwards Sapien THV training program from the Faculty of Medicine of Rouen, France.
In the last 4 years, Dr Kais had performed more than 900 complex coronary interventions including rotational atherectomy, primary angioplasty, bifurcations, saphenous venous and mammary arterial graft angioplasty, left main angioplasty septal alcoholisation, closures of atrial septal defect, and patent foramen ovale and 60 procedures of Trans catheter Aortic Valve Implantation. He was awarded membership by the prestigious French Society of Cardiology.
Before joining NMC Specialty Hospital, he was associated with University Hospital Habib Thameur, Tunisia as Head of the Catheterization Laboratory.
His areas of interests are Interventional Cardiology, Endovascular Treatment of Valvular Heart Disease, Clinical and Non-Invasive Cardiology and Echocardiography and TEE
Dr Kais can speak fluently French, English and Arabic.
