About About Dr. Mazen Hamid
Dr. Mazen Hamid has received his medical degree (MD) in 1986 from Aleppo University (Syria), and from then until 1991, he worked as a medical assistant at the Medical College of Latakia University (Syria). In 1991, he moved to Kiel (Western Germany) where he specialized in Internal Medicine at I. Med. Klinik and was officially declared Specialist with the German Board in 1995, and then Specialist with the German Board in Gastroenterology in 1997. He had also started his Doctorate in Liver Disease in 1996 and finished it in 1999. From then until 2002, he held the position of Assistant Professor at Latakia University (Syria). Then, he moved to Saudi Arabia and worked as Consultant Gastroenterologist in Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group for 10 years. After that, he moved to Ontario (Canada) where he worked at a Private Gastroenterology Center for 4 years, followed by his most recent job at Thumbay Hospital (Ajman, UAE) as a Gastroenterologist and Adjunct Tutor.
