Dr. Nirav Sangani is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Cardiothoracic Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the European Board of Cardiothoracic Surgery in both specialties of Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery. He is working as a Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Ahalia Hospital Mussafah. He received his medical degree and postgraduate degree in General surgery from BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai, India. He obtained his super specialization degree in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery and was trained at the esteemed King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, India. He went on to gain further experience and completed Clinical Fellowships in Cardiovascular Surgery at two of the world renowned institutes – Texas Heart Institute, Houston, USA ( worked with renowned cardiac surgeon- Late Dr. Denton Cooley) and Mayo Clinic, Minnesota, USA. He subsequently obtained the degree of Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Cardiothoracic Surgery, India. He is a also member of The Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow . Prior to joining Ahalia hospital, he worked in India and Dubai as a Cardiothoracic Surgeon and has experience in Coronary artery bypass grafting surgery, Heart valve replacements and General Thoracic Surgery with special interest in Video assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS).
