Dr. Satea is an Iraqi and British trained ENT Specialist (Otolaryngologist). He gained his medical degrees from the University of Baghdad, Medical College, Iraq. He trained and worked in his field in many teaching hospitals in Baghdad, Iraq before moving to the medical city in Medical College Baghdad University, where he pursued his studies to qualify in Otolaryngology. After qualification, he worked in the General Teaching Hospital in Babylon as assistant head of the ENT department and at the same time as a member of the teaching staff and lecturer in the Medical College, Babylon University. He obtained a wide range of training and experience in his field (primary, secondary and tertiary care) and also traumatology during his practice in Iraq. He had training in several British NHS hospitals; Chester, Hull and Edinburgh as an Otolaryngologist. In 1975, as a 4/5th year medical student studying for his MB ChB (medical degree), he undertook an elective periods in medicine and surgery at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, UK.
