Introduction to Dr. Suhail Maqbool
Dr. Suhail Maqbool Mir has joined our group as a Specialist ENT at Aster Clinic Al Warqa. He has completed his MBBS from the Government Medical College Srinagar. He has a distinguished undergraduate career, obtaining gold and silver medals in his academics. He also was an outstanding debater, having won the Intra and Inter College debate competitions 3 years in a row. He completed his Masters in ENT surgery from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Chandigarh, India in 1990 and went on to work as a Registrar in SMHS Hospital in Srinagar. He subsequently moved to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1994, where he worked as specialist ENT in King Abdul Aziz and King Khalid Hospitals both under the King Saud University umbrella.
Dr. Suhail Maqbool has been actively involved in the teaching of undergraduate MBBS students of this University. He moved to King Fahd Medical City in 2006 as an Assistant Consultant ENT and Head and Neck Oncology and for the next 7 years was involved in tertiary care Head Neck Oncology Surgeries. He was the tutor guide for undergraduate students of the Saudi Board pursuing their ENT fellowship. He then moved to UAE where he worked with the RAK Hospital prior to joining Aster DM Healthcare. He has published 26 case reports and 15 papers in various International journals. He has to his credit a textbook in the subject of ENT disease which is currently in its 12th edition. He has more than 24 years of experience in India, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
