Dr Syed Rais Ahmed has over 20 years of experience in pediatrics and neonatology, including his role as medical director at kidsFIRST Medical Center. Dr Ahmed is a general pediatrician, with special interests including pediatric rheumatology, pediatric hematology including bleeding disorders, pediatric asthma and growth and developmental problems.
He is a member of Royal College of Physicians (UK) and a Fellow of Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (UK). Dr Ahmed worked as consultant pediatrician and Neonatologist for over 10 years in the UK before working as specialist pediatrician in City, American, and Medcare Hospitals in Dubai.
In addition to English, Dr. Ahmed speaks Urdu and Hindi, as well as basic knowledge of Arabic.

Absolutely excellent. He does not prescribe unnecessary medication or antibiotics unless absolutely necessary. I trust no other pediatrician but him in Dubai where most pediatrics give out prescriptions without blinking and eyelid. My child has always recovered beautifully under his care

He is absolutely fantastic... immensely knowledgeable and will not put our children through unnecessary medications and treatment. I have come back without any prescriptions sometimes, which is very rare of a doctor atleast here in Dubai. His treatment plan is purely based on his examination and is fact based.

Dr Ahmed has been my childrens doctor for the past 10 years and I am extremely grateful to have had such a reliable and excellent doctor who I have complete trust in. Dr Ahmed has replied to text messages at all hours of the day to put my mind at ease and often follows up on the children's progress with a quick phone call. Fabulous doctor.
